Preventing Raccoons from penetrating Recycling, Compost & Garbage Bins

Raccoons are cute, furry little animals that many of us adore when they show up in a Disney family movie. However, if you are a homeowner in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver, raccoons can be a real nuisance. How is it that raccoons are able to break in to these sturdy plastic containers? Here’s a great video from the Toronto Star, who ran a test to see what attracted raccoons in the first place, and then how they were able to break in when given the opportunity.

If you are looking for a solution to preventing this type of inconvenience in your Burnaby, Coquitlam, Richmond or Vancouver home, then give AAA Wildlife and Pest Control a call. We will be more than happy to give you some helpful solutions.
