Where Are Rats Commonly Found?

Anywhere: Rats are the most common pest in the Lower Mainland and can live year-round in, on or under areas of buildings.  Some species of rats, such as the Roof Rat, are excellent climbers and tend to build their nests and colonies in the upper portions of buildings.  Whereas other species are excellent at burrowing, such as the Norway Rat, and tend to nest in basements and lower portions of buildings.  The most common nesting areas are basements, walls, between floors, attics, crawlspaces, sheds, and sometimes car engine compartments. They will make their nests out of things like insulation, newspaper, leaves, moss and cardboard.

Inspection & Assessment

Complete building inspection: Rat inspections are the most comprehensive investigations we do. We will complete a 26 point inspection identifying all entry points, problem areas, rat travel ways and damage. Because this is a comprehensive audit, we will present you with a list of necessary repairs or maintenance that we feel your structure requires in order to remain free of rats and other animals.

Locate entry points: Rats are very intelligent and are able to squeeze through holes as small as a loonie in diameter.  Our trained technicians will locate all the possible rat entry points and problem areas.

Effective & Complete Rat Removal

Humane: Rats are intelligent animals and have what is called neophobia or "new-object-fear".  Which means that the usage of traps and one-ways doors may take time and can require multiple visits.  And while we do not use any pesticides or poison to remove rats, it is necessary for our technicians to employ humane methods of extermination to ensure that your building and its occupants are not exposed to the health and safety risks associated with rats dying and rotting in inaccessible locations.

Comprehensive: We take into consideration things like the breeding cycle and the incredibly social nature of rats.  We work diligently to ensure the entire rat population is eliminated and future rats are not able to enter your building.

Eliminate odours: Rats urinate to mark their territory and trails.  As such, we deodorize rat-infested areas and entry holes to deter other animals from being attracted and prevent unpleasant smells from entering your work and living areas.

GUARANTEED EXCLUSION!: Our wildlife technicians will seal all the potential openings in your building with heavy gauge gualvanized steel screening.  All materials used to exclude rats are of the highest quality and are guaranteed for up to ten years.

Why Our Approach is Best

Legal: The use of traps and one way doors rather than rat poison means all rats can be effectively removed from the building avoiding the illegal cross contamination of poisons to other species.

Cost effective: By undertaking these steps we can ensure there are no rodents dying inhumanely within the structure causing further DAMAGE and that no future rats will re-enter guaranteeing your complete satisfaction.

Industry leaders: Our focus on innovation, education and prevention makes us a leader in the residential rat control industry.

Service: We have been satisfying customers for over 25 years and are looking forward to serving you.
